RS232 Integration on FINCH II-W/6W Displays
The FINCH II-W and FINCH II-6W Displays, launched in May 2023, come equipped with a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and WiFi expansion card. This card enables the FINCH to connect seamlessly with mobile applications, significantly enhancing Titan's overfill protection and level measurement capabilities.
Additionally, the FINCH II-W/6W displays feature an RS232 serial port, allowing connections to other hardware on the truck, such as a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a meter register.
One connection method at a time
It is essential to understand that the FINCH II-W/6W can only transmit data using one connection method at a time. When both BLE/WiFi and RS232 are available, the system prioritizes the BLE/WiFi connection.
If you prefer to utilize the RS232 connection, you will need to remove the BLE/WiFi expansion card.
