Check fuses for proper rating for the application and correct if needed.
Visually inspect the installation starting from the FINCH II wiring, working back to supply voltage at the junction box or nose box.
Disconnect all the components by unplugging inside the FINCH II, leaving only the FINCH II connected to fused power. If the low current fuse blows, replace the display.
Check across each device from power to ground with an ohmmeter, checking for very low ohms (e.g. less than 10 ohms). When the short is isolated, plug the remaining devices back into the FINCH II to verify.
