My FINCH II Display Keeps Going Into Sleep Mode
If your FINCH II display won't stay awake, it's usually a loose or missing jumper connection on the circuit board. Read on for how Sleep Mode works and how to fix it.
DIM SLEEP Button Overview
The DIM SLEEP button adjusts the brightness level of the FINCH II display as well as puts the display into sleep mode. Sleep Mode is a feature that allows the user to disable all the alarms and blank the display to reduce power consumption. While in Sleep Mode, the FINCH Display DIM SLEEP LED light blinks, notifying the operator that the alarm functions are disabled.
The display has 3 brightness levels, changing each time you press the DIM SLEEP button. It goes from maximum to medium to low brightness levels.
Pressing the DIM SLEEP button a 4th time has the display go into Sleep Mode. When in Sleep Mode, the display is turned off and does not respond to any TD Transmitter alarms. All acknowledgeable alarms must be cleared with the ACK button before entering Sleep Mode.

FINCH II Display OverviewTroubleshooting Steps
To allow your FINCH II display to stay ON while in use, access the FINCH II circuit board and make sure the jumper wire connection between DISPLAY EN and GND is good. If this is not there or loose, then your FINCH II display will keep returning back to Sleep Mode after about 30 seconds.
