Overview
The FINCH II Display is highly configurable to suit most TD100 system applications. New features may also be added to the FINCH display through a firmware update.
Tip:
Refer to the following information on how to configure your FINCH display:
FINCH II Display Configuration
What do you need?
All that’s required is a computer with SensorLink installed, a programming kit and an Internet connection for downloading a new firmware file.
The newest and current firmware file is downloaded when SensorLink is connected to the Internet and it prompts to install an update. That firmware file is now available even without an Internet connection.
Programming Kit Components
The following cables are used to connect your computer to your FINCH Display.
1. USB to RS232 Converter
2. RS232 Cable
3. Power Cable
4. AC Power Adapter
The Firmware Update Process
- Configuring and programming the FINCH II Display is done through the FINCH II using either an AC power adapter OR vehicle battery power.
Caution when using the AC Power Adapter for configuration and firmware updates.
Disconnect all devices connected to the Pump Relay, Horn Relay, Light Relay and Engine Relay to prevent damage to the AC Power Adapter.
2. At the top of the FINCH II configuration screen, click Firmware and then Update.
3. Select the COM Port connected to the programming kit.
4. Click the Select Latest Version button for the most recent firmware file. The file appears in the File Name box.
5. Click the Update Firmware button.
6. DO NOT disconnect the power, the programming kit or close SensorLink while updating. The FINCH II Display may require a return to the factory for repair if the update process is interrupted.
7. When the update process is complete, click the Back button then optionally turn OFF power to the FINCH II Display, close SensorLink and disconnect the programming kit.
