Overview

Pre-requisites

Only the FINCH II-W and FINCH II-6W are supported by Titan Portal and Install.

Titan recommends the Chrome web browser for Titan Portal access on a PC. Known issues with The Edge browser file caching may prevent you from seeing the most recent Titan Portal screens and Help Center articles. The workaround is to routinely clear the browser’s cached images and files or to simply use the Chrome browser.

Overview

Titan Portal and the Titan Install app work together to provide an integrated set of tools for fleet management, system installation and repair.

Titan Portal is the administration and management platform accessed through an Internet browser. Fleet managers have remote access to all information about assets installed on their vehicles.

Titan Install is the TD100 system installer and repair technician’s app on a Smartphone or other mobile device. It allows wireless access to system programming, configuration and troubleshooting.

The Titan Install app provides a convenient wireless connection to the TD100 system through the FINCH II display. An Internet connection is required. It provides the following features.

  • Initial configuration of the FINCH II display after installation
  • FINCH II display configuration and firmware updates
  • TD100 transmitter programming and firmware upgrades
  • Assists troubleshooting
  • View and change FINCH II display settings without opening the enclosure
  • No programming kit with cables and PC software is required

The Titan Portal provides remote access to TD100 system information and files. There is no need to be at the vehicle or search paper records for system information. An Internet connection is required. The Portal is accessed by a PC, tablet or smartphone through a browser and provides the following features.

  • Display system configuration including the number of transmitters, displays and RCM
  • Displays TD100 and FINCH II models and serial numbers
  • Truck or trailer identification
  • Manages Titan Install app access and permissions for mechanics
  • Provides access to transmitter strapping table files
  • Provides transmitter and display firmware update files

Roles

Titan Portal is administered and used by two broad categories of users. They are the administrator and mechanic roles in a company.

The administrator creates and manages all other user accounts in a company. This user also manages files stored for mechanics to use in programming and configuring the TD100 system.

Mechanics typically use their account to access the Titan Install app using the account created by the administrator. This user is usually the role that works directly on a vehicle for system installation or repair.

The username determines an Admin or Mechanic role.

The first Admin role account is created by Titan.
Mechanic role accounts are created by the company administrator (Admin).
