Roles
Titan Portal is administered and used by two broad categories of users. They are the administrator and mechanic roles in a company.
In small companies, the administrator and mechanic roles may be shared by a few people.
For larger companies, the administrator role may be a manager, while the mechanic role is for the people working directly with the TD100 system on the vehicles.
The administrator creates and manages all other user accounts in a company. This user also manages files stored for mechanics to use in programming and configuring the TD100 system.
Mechanics typically use their account to access the Titan Install app using the account created by the administrator. This user is usually the role that works directly on a vehicle for system installation or repair.
Admin and Mechanic are the terms used by Titan Portal when creating user accounts.
The username determines an Admin or Mechanic role when logging in. When someone is registered for the Titan Portal and Install app, access is controlled by the user’s email address and assigned role. An administrator can modify the role anytime after user account creation.
The first Admin role account for a company is created by Titan’s Customer Success team.
Mechanic role accounts are created by the company administrator (Admin). The company administrator may also create Admin accounts for other staff.
