How to install and operate a 3-compartment TD100 system with a FINCH II-6W display and optional onboard loading pump control for spill prevention
The information below describes how to install and operate a 3-compartment TD100 system with a FINCH II-6W display and optional onboard loading pump control for spill prevention.
System Description
- 3-compartment B-Train
- Dual-compartment lead trailer
- Single-compartment rear or pup trailer
- Wiring includes an optional onboard loading pump control
This configuration allows operation with the two trailers or the lead trailer only.
The pup-mounted TD100 transmitter is connected to the FINCH II-6W Display by a pair of J560 sockets and a 7-way cable. Titan does not supply these items.

Operating with only the Lead Unit (disconnecting the Pup)
Operation with only the lead unit is accomplished by inserting a J560 Dummy Plug into the J560 socket on the lead unit. When operating with the pup, the Dummy Plug is removed and the 7-way cable connects the two units for normal 3-compartment operation.
The Dummy Plug is constructed with common heavy truck and trailer electrical components. The recommended list of parts is below. Titan does not supply these items.
- QTY 1, Phillips PermaPlug, Part Number 16-730 or equivalent, for the J560 Dummy Plug
- Short length of #14 AWG insulated wire
- QTY 1, Rubber stopper or plug with a diameter of a typical 7-way cable (1/2”)
- Seal the PermaPlug’s cable compression fitting with a suitable rubber stopper or plug.
- Strip each end of the insulated wire.
- Connect the wire to pins 4 and 5 of the PermaPlug.
- Assemble the PermaPlug.
- Attach a label on the plug stating “For TD100 System Use Only”.
