The FINCH II Display is designed to not only indicate a malfunction but also provide helpful information about it. This includes error codes and other indications that can assist in the troubleshooting process.
Below are some common error codes you might see from you FINCH II display and how to address them.
E0020
Description: Probe and/or Transmitter Connection Issues
Possible Solutions:
- Tighten transmitter nut that attaches transmitter to probe
- Tighten shorting block at bottom of probe
- Ensure the inside connection between probe and transmitter is clean. If there is product or debris, wipe this connection down.
- Ensure there is no product buildup on probe.
- Ensure probe is not damaged.
E0081
Description: Strapping Chart Issue - Missing strapping table
Possible Solutions: Program a strapping table using SensorLink
E0802
Description: Low Input Voltage
Possible Solutions:
- Use a digital multimeter to check the voltage. Ensure it is greater than 8V.
- Look for corroded wire connections where the power cable connects.
Note: The E0802 error code may be accompanied by other codes such as the E0780. There may be multiple errors happening as a result of low or unstable power.
8888
Description: Input voltage issue
Possible Solutions:
1. Check the input voltage.
- If above 8V: the display is defective
- If below 8V: there is a wiring problem
