How to Install the FTDI USB Driver?

The TD100 programming kit requires additional software or a driver to be installed before first use.

A USB to RS232 Converter is included with the Titan-supplied programming kit. The driver for this converter must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. An Internet connection is required to download and install the correct COM Port driver.

• Ensure your computer is connected to the Internet.
• Plug in the USB to RS232 Converter
• Follow the on-screen prompts.

Step-By-Step Instructions

• Open SensorLink
• Select the TD100 programming page.
• Click File and then Help or press F1

• On the left-hand side of the screen, click on COM Port Drivers.
• For the FTDI Branded USB-RS232 Converter, click the “here” link to start the driver download.

• Click the Open button to begin downloading the driver.

• Double-click on the filename CDM212364_Setup.exe

Note that the numbers in this filename may be slightly different. The important part is that it begins with “CDM” and ends with “_Setup.exe”.

• Click the Extract button.

• Click the radio button for “I accept…” and then click the Next button.

• Click the Finish button. The COM Port driver installation is complete. You may now close the Help Window.
