How to calibrate your tank using the FINCH II display?

FINCH II Calibration

We highly recommend updating your strapping table anytime there's a significant difference between the strapping table and the measured volume.  However, if there is a small variance with your FINCH display and the metered volume, you can manually calibrate this from the FINCH display.

1.   Power on your TD System.

2.   Choose the compartment that you want to calibrate.  On the FINCH II display, the compartment number appears to the left of the red 5 digit display.

IMPORTANT:

Your tank must have at least 6 inches of liquid in the compartment you require to calibrate.

3.   Choose one of the two options to manually calibrate your FINCH II display.

Option 1:

  • Press and hold the four gray buttons on the display until CAL starts to flash on the display.
    • COMP SELECT
    • HORN BYPASS
    • ACK
    • DIM SLEEP
  • Release all the buttons when CAL starts to flash on the display.

Option 2:

  • Power off your Titan System.
  • While your system is powered off, press and hold one of the arrow buttons. It doesn't matter if it is the up or down button.
  • While continuing to hold down the arrow button, power on the system. This will require two people if the FINCH requires the vehicle to turn on to power the display.
  • Release the arrow button when CAL starts to flash on the display.

4. Adjust the display by using the up or down arrow buttons to match the same volume as the liquid in the tank.

5. Once the volume is showing the corrected volume, power off your TD System and then power it back on.

Your Titan system will be updated to align with this new volume. It is important to note that the strapping table did NOT get updated.
