Cutting the Dual Rod Probe

Titan Logix’s probes are shipped longer than required to fit all tank installations.

1.  Measure the inside of your tank from the top edge of the 1” NPT top fitting to the bottom of the cone or bracket.

2.  Then, measure the length of your probe starting from the threaded end.

3.  For Dual Rod probes, add an additional 1.5" to the tank height to know where to cut your probe. 

4. Cut the probe at the end of the shorting block to ensure accurate measurements and a proper fit.

Installing the Probe

1.  Once the probe is cut to fit inside the tank, carefully insert the probe through the top fitting, resting the shorting block inside the anchor cone.

2.  Ensure there is a ½” gap between the bottom of the tank and the bottom of the shorting block inside the anchor cone.

 3.  Tighten the probe into the top fitting.

4.  Ensure that the probe is not bent or twisted after installation.
