How can I bypass the circuit to view the direct output from the turbine?

Overview:

If you need to view the direct output from the turbine without applying any programmable parameters, you can bypass the circuit on the SFT 881. This allows the device to act as a basic pre-amplifier for the turbine’s signal.

How to Bypass the Circuit:

  1. Locate Jumper J4
    1. Jumper J4 controls whether the turbine signal is processed through the device's programmable parameters.

  2. Set J4 to "A" Position
    1. Move Jumper J4 to the "A" position to bypass all programmable settings and view the direct, unprocessed output from the turbine.

  3. Set J4 to "B" Position (Optional)
    1. If you want to return to using the programmable parameters, move Jumper J4 back to the "B" position. This will apply the configured settings to the turbine signal.

Use Case:

  • Position "A": Use this mode when you need the raw turbine signal, such as for testing or diagnostic purposes.
  • Position "B": Use this when the programmable parameters (like K-factor or pulse width) are needed for your application.
