TD100 Transmitter does not require periodic calibration or maintenance. It is calibrated at the factory and is self-compensating while in operation.
For the TD80, it was recommended to perform Offset Calibration seasonally, in the summer and winter to maintain accuracy.
For TD100, Offset Calibration is required only once when the transmitter is first installed. That calibrates the transmitter for small differences between the SensorLink-programmed Total Offset (Offset Measurement) value and the actual height above the tank. It is not required again while the transmitter is in service.
The Total Offset value tells the TD100 Transmitter how high it is mounted above the tank. The actual value may be slightly different. Offset Calibration ensures the best possible measurement accuracy.
Of course, if the transmitter is replaced, Offset Calibration is required again.
See the FINCH II Display Installation and Operation manual for the Offset Calibration procedure. The manual may be downloaded from Titan’s website, https://www.titanlogix.com/support/downloads/
